Our client, a nationwide leader in plastics and materials manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced Material Handler, to join their winning team in Portland.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load raw materials on to machine conveyor belt, i.e., grinders and shredders
- Follow equipment procedures to keep line running
- Use forklift to transfer material
- Follow production schedule to fulfill orders
- Abide by all safety policies and practices
- Maintain a clean work area
- 2-week rotational 2*2*3 schedule : Sun, Wed, Thurs and Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Be 18 years or older
- Candidate must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Be a dependable self-starter with a desire to learn and cross train
- Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, follow direction, and excellent attendance
- Previous manufacturing experience a plus, but not necessary
- Lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
- Standing for an extended period of time
- Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist and reach
- Work in both hot and cold conditions
